Breaking down the Image Proccesing
First, we take in an image from the user. As you can see, this image is very underexposed. The next couple pages explain out process of ensuring the OCR is able to pull names from IDs, regardless of their exposure.

Then, we convert the image to grayscale, which makes enhancing the image much easier, and is very helpful for thresholding images.
